Hotel Policy

In an effort to make your tournament experience the absolute best it can be, the staff of River City Tournaments has taken it upon themselves to find accommodations that you will be pleased with.  We have personally visited and evaluated hotels in the general vicinity of the host rinks and we have chosen a number of them based on, but not limited to, the following criteria: comfort, safety, price point, hockey friendliness, proximity to rinks and proximity to area attractions.  These hotels are the official, authorized hotels of River City Tournaments.  You will find descriptions and room rates on the hotel links on our website.

River City Tournaments has secured room blocks for all out-of-town teams participating in one of our events.  We have negotiated with our host hotels special room rates for all of our visiting hockey families.  Although we have made every effort to get the best possible rate for your stay, River City Tournaments cannot guarantee that the rate negotiated will be the lowest available.

All out-of-town teams must stay in an authorized hotel at the negotiated rate and make all reservations through River City Tournaments as a condition of participating in our tournament event.  Any team whose home rink is greater than 70 miles from the tournament rink will be considered an out-of-town team and will be required to comply with these hotel policies and procedures.  All participating players on out-of-town teams must reserve and utilize rooms at an official, authorized hotel for the duration of the tournament event.  Participating players that do not stay at an official, authorized hotel will have their team disqualified from the tournament.

Team reservations must be made using the rooming list provided for you on our website.  Please fill in all information for each room you would like to reserve, print the form and fax it to River City Tournaments at the number listed on the form.  Please do not contact the hotels directly as team reservations must be made using approved rooming lists and reservations will not be accepted over the phone.

All room cancellations must be performed through our hotel coordinator.  Cancellations must be made by our hotel coordinator 72 hours in advance of your first night stay otherwise a charge may be made to the individual's credit card per the hotel's cancellation policy.

The room blocks we have set aside are limited and they will be assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis in the order in which tournament fees and rooming lists are received.  So, be sure to get your rooming list and tournament fee in early to have the best chance of staying in your hotel of choice.  Rooming lists must be completed and returned to River City Tournaments no later than twenty-one (21) days before the start of the tournament event.

The staff of River City Tournaments are hockey parents just like you and we understand that many organizations have more than one team attend an event.  We also know the importance of staying in the same hotel with friends and family so that your time away from the rinks is as enjoyable as time spent watching your athlete compete.  With that in mind, we will make every effort to accommodate requests from teams within the same organization to stay at the same hotel.  However, please keep in mind our room blocks are limited, so the earlier you get your rooming list submitted, the better chance we have of honoring your request.

River City Tournaments thanks you in advance for your assistance in making your tournament experience a memorable one for years to come.

See ya at the rink!!!
